The study aimed to evaluate the Arabic language curriculum for the fourth grade in Palestine, using the analytical descriptive approach. The study population and its sample consisted of the Arabic language book, both parts, for the Palestinian fourth grade. The researcher used the study tool: the book’s content analysis card in terms of (evaluating the cognitive structure For content, areas of educational objectives, levels of behavioral objectives, assessment questions, artistic direction, curriculum elements, and curriculum foundations. The validity and reliability of the tool was verified. The results showed: availability of the cognitive structure of the content, including facts (20%), concepts (51%), generalizations (11%), theories and laws (1%), skills (3%), and trends (14%). As for the areas of educational goals: cognitive goals were (75%), psychomotor (50%), and emotional (50%), and these are balanced percentages. As for the behavioral objectives: the percentage of understanding and comprehension was (52%), application (26%), and reasoning (22%). There was a balance in the evaluation questions: the percentage of essay questions was (50%) and the objective questions were (50%). As for the artistic direction, the availability rate was high, except for the reference list, and the number of pages of the book was appropriate for the grade level. The standards for the curriculum elements came in percentages varying between (48-52)%, which are acceptable percentages. Finally, the foundations of the curriculum were arranged in descending order: cognitive (49%), social (19%), psychological (17%), and philosophical (15%). The study recommended the need for curriculum developers to ensure that the elements and foundations of the curriculum are similar, especially the philosophical foundations, and to involve teachers in preparing and developing the curriculum. The curriculum needs to include extracurricular activities, and a balance between emotional and psychomotor goals and cognitive goals. (Published abstract)
