The study aimed to evaluate mathematics curricula for the first grade from the point of view of mathematics teachers and supervisors in Palestine according to the principles of curriculum construction and its elements. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach due to its suitability to the aim of the study. The researcher relied on the questionnaire tool that was directed to teachers of the mathematics curriculum in basic schools in Bethlehem Governorate. The researcher as well used the focus group tool that included male and female supervisors of the lower basic stage for mathematics. The study population consisted of 120 male and female teachers of mathematics for the first grade, and 6 male and female supervisors. The sample included 80 male and female teachers and 6 male and female supervisors. The quantitative data collected from male and female teachers was analyzed using SPSS software, and the qualitative data collected from supervisors was analyzed using content analysis. The results of the study showed that the level of availability of standards for evaluating the foundations of the mathematics curriculum for the first grade from the point of view of mathematics teachers in Bethlehem Governorate came largely in its axis: cognitive foundations, followed by philosophical and religious foundations, then the social foundation, and finally the psychological foundation. In addition, the level of availability of standards for evaluating the elements of the mathematics curriculum for the first grade, from the point of view of mathematics teachers in Bethlehem Governorate, came to a high degree, as the axis of educational methods and activities ranked first, and then the evaluation tools and teaching methods. Results showed that there are differences between the average estimates of the study sample for the level of criteria availability for evaluating the foundations of the math curriculum for the first grade due to the gender of teachers, within the two axes of the philosophical and religious foundation and the social foundation. In addition, the level of evaluation of the quality of the mathematics book for the first grade has reached a high degree. It includes beautiful and attractive diagrams and illustrations for students, and the book’s size and design are appropriate for the ages of the students. The supervisors emphasized that the curriculum takes into account its basic elements, provides clear objectives emanating from the Ministry’s goals and is compatible with the needs and abilities of the students, and contains appropriate activities and exercises, but it lacks the use of technology in its application.
