The study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a training program based on some supportive technological teaching competencies to reduce the severity of difficulties in learning to read and write for a girl with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, in the first grade of primary school, aged at the time of evaluation (6 years and 3 months). She was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder at the Saudi German Hospital in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After reviewing all her reports, a case study was conducted for her after interview and observation, along with filling out a few forms to complete the study of her case and applying two diagnostic assessment scales for difficulties. Reading and writing (prepared by Fathi Al-Zayat) and preparing and applying an achievement test based on the school curriculum; to detect her skill level in reading and writing, then a training program was prepared that targeted the difficulties experienced by the child. The program was based on some supportive technological teaching competencies. The program took approximately two and a half months to implement, at a rate of two sessions per week (23 sessions to implement the program remotely) with the child. The duration of the session ranged from Between (50-60) minutes, and (10) follow-up counseling sessions with the mother, at a rate of one session per week, and after implementing the program, the effectiveness of the program in achieving its goals was reached. The severity of the difficulties experienced by the case decreased significantly. (Published abstract)
