تقويم منهاج العلوم والحياة للصف السابع الأساسي في ضوء المهارات الحياتية في فلسطين
This research aims to evaluating the Science and life curriculum for seventh grade students in Palestine in light of life skills for the academic year (2023-2024). The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach and built tow tools. The first is an analysis card for curriculum elements in light of life skills, consisting of 51 sub-skills distributed across six main areas: social skills, preventive health skills, environmental skills, manual skills, thinking skills, and technological skills. The second tool is an analysis of the general principles of Palestinian curricula, consisting of 29 items distributed across four main areas: cognitive principles, social principles, psychological principles, and philosophical principles. After validating and ensuring the reliability of the tools, the researcher used them for analysis and found the analysis results regarding the availability of life skills in the curriculum. The most included skills were thinking skills, followed by practical skills, social skills, health skills, environmental skills, and finally, technological skills, all rated as moderate. Regarding the analysis of general curriculum principles in light of life skills, cognitive principles were the most included, followed by social principles, psychological principles, and lastly, philosophical principles, which were the least included. Based on these findings, the researcher made several recommendations, including increasing the emphasis of curriculum developers on integrating technological skills into the seventh-grade Science curriculum in general, and philosophical principles in particular.
