The objective of the study was to identify the role of the functional competencies program in improving the cognitive skills of the teacher from the point of view of the leaders and the educational supervisors in the workers' schools in Riyadh. The study aimed to identify whether there were statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample based on the following variables (Job, number of years of service, number of training programs) in order to achieve the objectives of this study, the descriptive approach was adopted. The researcher relied on a questionnaire to study the data and data from the field study, which was implemented in the study community, composed of all the leaders of the schools of 160 leaders and 200 supervisors. 100 leaders and 200 supervisors from the leaders and supervisors of the workers' schools in the city of Riyadh and after the application of statistical processing methods after applying the statistical processing methods of the questionnaire collected from the field study and then reaching a set of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions Main results We find that the general average of cognitive competencies of the teacher from the point of view of female leaders and educational supervisors in schools in the north of Riyadh is (3.38), and to an intermediate degree (sometimes). The general average of the behavioral competencies of the teacher from the point of view of the leaders and the educational supervisors in the schools in the north of Riyadh city was (3.58) and to a high degree (agree). This indicates that all the sample members agree on the terms of this axis. There are no differences between the responses of the sample members of the study sample, the role of the career profiles program in improving knowledge, skills and behavioral skills as a whole from the point of view of the leaders and supervisors according to variables (job title, years of service, training courses), where F values did not reach the level of statistical significance.
