البناء العاملي للنموذج الرباعي للتوجهات الهدفية "مقياس كرستوفر واس" لدى طلبة جامعة طيبة
This study is intended to define the factorial structure of Christopher Was Scale with regard to the achievement goals orientation on Taibah University students and to investigate its psychometric properties. It adopts the descriptive analytical approach, and its sample comprises all undergraduates of Taibah University, Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, 1442 AH academic year, ranged (39,746) students. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the scale comprising (33) paragraphs is applied to an exploratory sample of (100) students to verify the credibility of the scale for the total sample. In order to answer the study questions, the scale is applied to the study sample of (460) students, using the exploratory factor analysis method. In the study, the analysis procedures are performed by respectively verifying the factor analysis conditions, determining the criteria to conclude the factors, choosing the appropriate rotation, and finally concluding the simple factor construction of the scale. The results show four factors which are effective in the explanatory differentiation at (22.22%). They are dimension mastery, dimension performance avoidant, dimension performance approach, and dimension work avoidant. Moreover, the results show that the scale has adequate reliability parameters using alpha and split-half coefficients. The study recommends Christopher Was Scale for the Saudi environment to define the target orientations due to its appropriate credibility and reliability. (Published abstract)
