The study aimed to reveal the partnership of universities with the private sector in both the United States of America and Australia and the possibility of benefiting from it in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The problem of the study was represented by the presence of a clear deficiency in the partnership between universities and the private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the urgent need to identify strategies for partnership between universities and the private sector in some advanced countries in this field and to benefit from them in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study was limited to some universities in USA, Australia and Saudi Arabia; In this way, (Yale University and Stanford University from the United States), (University of South Australia, and Macquarie University from Australia), (Jouf University, and King Abdulaziz University from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) were chosen. The study used the comparative approach through George Briday's approach with its four steps: description, interpretation, interview and comparison. The partnership between universities and the private sector in the two comparison countries was monitored in light of the forces and factors affecting it, and an interview was conducted between the information collected, with the intention of identifying similarities and differences between them and interpreting them in light of social science concepts. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: Saudi universities paid special attention to the partnership between them and the private sector and worked to achieve the goals of the future plan for developing university education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which includes the importance of continuing to support university funding and diversifying funding sources. The study recommended that the necessary legislation and regulatory rules be developed to control the relationship between the private sector and universities in developing a specific and joint partnership policy between them, and that regulatory legislation be developed to achieve continuity in joint work between universities and the private sector, and that the needs of the business sector in the environment surrounding the universities be identified in order to determine partnership areas precisely.
