This study aims to identify the extent to which practicum students use instructional technology, and the availability of instructional aids in training schools, and the obstacles that prevent practicum students from using instructional technology. To achieve this, the researchers used the descriptive analytical method, and the study community consisted of practicum students at the Faculty of Education, University of Khartoum, where a random sample of (200) male and female which represents (50.6%) of the study population. After the conduct of field study, the study revealed a number of results, the most important of which are: The use of instructional technology in teaching is very weak, instructional aides are not sufficiently available, and there are obstacles that prevent the use of instructional technology in teaching; including classroom crowdedness prevents the use of teaching aids. Also, some students' lack of computers prevents them from using computer programs in teaching and most students do not have sufficient knowledge of using educational display devices. Based on these results, the researchers recommended the followings: Increasing material and moral support from decision makers, training student teachers on the use of technology and educational devices, providing instruction aids and enhancing their role in the educational process, the need to include instructional technology in the school curricula and the practicing of counseling and guidance role.
