This study sought to identify the readiness of the educational environment for applying blended learning from the points of view of teachers in Wadi Al-Dawasir Governorate, the challenges they face during the application, and the application mechanism. The descriptive research approach was utilized for qualitative and quantitative analysis. To answer the research questions, a questionnaire was applied to a sample of (314) teachers and an interview was administrated to (10) teachers. Results illustrated that the study samples agreed with a high level in all the questionnaire axes regarding the possibility of applying blended learning in general education, with a high degree in the axis of teacher and student readiness, and with a moderate degree also in the axis of educational technical environment readiness. In addition, the study concentrated on the practical aspects that are important to consider during blended learning application such as blended learning should be for two days a week, the teacher would lead the class synchronously outside the school in the morning period، the necessity to provide students and teachers with laptops، and holding training courses for teachers and students to develop their skills in utilizing distance education programs. Results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the study sample responses in the possibility of applying blended learning due to gender variables in favor of males and due to their technical levels in favor of teachers with high technical levels. The study concluded with some challenges that may encounter by teachers during application that related to students and the technical educational environment. (Published abstract)
