This study aimed to identify the values of social responsibility that should be included in the textbook of Hadith for middle schools in Arab Islamic schools in the Gambia, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the study used the descriptive analytical method, through content analysis. The analysis tool includes a list of 36 sentences, within five themes of social responsibility: personal social responsibility, family social responsibility, community social responsibility, national social responsibility and human social responsibility. The results of the study showed that there is a mixed interest among these axes, the foremost of which was societal responsibility, as it is the most available topic, with a percentage of 45% of the total of the three books. Personal social responsibility came in second place, where this axis appeared in the books of hadith for the middle stage in the following proportion, 41% of the general total of the three book indices. On the other hand, human, family and national social responsibility were the lowest in the Hadith books for the intermediate stage, with percentage of not exceeding 10% for each. The study concludes by providing some recommendations to improve the Hadith textbook for middle schools in Arab Islamic schools in the Gambia to include all aspects of social responsibility.
