The study aimed to identify the role of distance training in developing the job performance of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University employees by identifying the extent to which employees benefited from distance training. The obstacles they faced. and their suggestions for enhancing distance training. Descriptive survey method was used. and a sample consisting of (183) male and female employees at the university. was given a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that distance training played a significant role in developing job performance. and especially its technical and management dimensions. Participants noted the training’s part in improving their computer skills and enabling them to deal with applications related to job tasks. It also assisted them in improving their communication and time management skills. as well as in organizing and scheduling tasks. However. There were obstacles that negatively affected the use of distance training. The most prominent of which were the lack of incentives and the lack of support by departments. The results also showed that among the employees' most prominent suggestions for developing distance training were providing incentives. designing training programs that addressed the needs of employees. and structuring them so they could be taken at employees’ convenience.
