This research is to measure the effectiveness of a developed unit. The aim of this research is to design a developed unit in physics in the secondary stage, in accordance with the science standards for the second generation, and to determine its effectiveness on future thinking among tenth (first) grade female students in the secondary stage. To achieve the objectives of the research, the descriptive approach was used. To build the developed unit based on science standards for the second generation, an experimental approach with a quasi-experimental design was used, based on the design of the experimental and control groups with a pre- and post-measurement, to reveal the effectiveness of teaching the developed unit in providing future thinking skills to tenth grade female students. the research sample consisted of (85) tenth grade measure of future thinking skills consisting of (40) items, which was applied before and after to members of the research group were made female students, (45) female students represented the control group and (40) female students represented the experimental group. The developed unit based on science standards for the second generation was taught to members of the experimental research group during the second semester of the university year. (2023-2024 AD). The researcher also prepared. The most important results that the research reached were the following: 1) There are no differences between the average scores of female students in the experimental group and the control group in the pre-application of the future thinking skills scale. 2) There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05), between the average scores of female students in the experimental group and the control group, in the post-application of the future thinking skills scale, in favor of the experimental There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the female students of the experimental group between the pre- and post-applications, in favor of the post-application at the level of the scale as a whole, and for each of the future thinking skills. 3) There is effectiveness in teaching the developed unit in developing future thinking skills among tenth grade female students. 4) The effect size of studying the developed unit in developing future thinking skills at the level of the scale as a whole was (0.90), which is a large effect size. In light of these results, many recommendations and proposals. (Published abstract)
