The practical paper aimed to explore the role of professional development for new teachers in achieving sustainable development and how professional development contributes to sustainable development. The third objective was to propose a conceptual framework to enhance the level of professional development for the realization of sustainable development. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher employed the descriptive analytical method, which involves collecting and categorizing data, followed by analysis to interpret the results and provide recommendations. The study utilized educational literature to address the research questions. The paper covers two main axes. The first axis focuses on professional development, defining it, highlighting its importance, and examining how it contributes to achieving sustainable development. The second axis delves into sustainable development, exploring its various aspects. The researcher concluded several findings, including the significant importance of professional development for new teachers in acquiring both professional and academic skills, whether through formal training programs or by utilizing self-directed learning methods. Additionally, professional development significantly contributes to achieving sustainable development by aiming to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for economic, social, and environmental sustainability.
