The study aims to identify the contribution of profit and non-profit organizations in financing public schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the point of view of graduate students at a Saudi university. The study relied on the qualitative approach, specifically the methodology of studying phenomena, to suit the research objectives and questions. The study sample included 20 participants who were interviewed semi-structured. The results showed that public schools depend on a single funding source: financial allocations approved by the Ministry of Education. Participants believe there is a need to diversify funding sources in public schools. The results also showed that the contribution of profit and non-profit organizations to financing school budgets or educational and non-educational activities and programs could be more substantial. The study indicated that there are obstacles that hinder the contribution of these organizations, most notably legal legislation and administrative regulations, which limit the effective participation of these organizations in providing financial support to public educational institutions in the country. The study results confirm that organizations’ contributions to financing public schools must be carried out according to controls, and there must not be absolute dependence on these financial resources for fear of their interruption, which may affect the schools’ budget. The study presented several initiatives that would enhance the contribution of profit and non-profit organizations in financing Saudi public schools. (Published abstract)
