The study aimed to investigate the effect of using electronic educational games on reading comprehension and cognitive flexibility among basic education students. The study sample consisted of 60 students in the basic stage at Al Rams School, first cycle, in the United Arab Emirates. The sample was divided equally into two groups, experimental and control, to achieve the goal of the study. The reading comprehension test (prepared by Khairy Al-Maghazi) was used, and the cognitive flexibility scale was prepared. The experimental group received sessions on using electronic games, and the reading comprehension test and the cognitive flexibility scale were applied after the completion of the sessions. The results showed an improvement in the level of reading comprehension and cognitive flexibility among the students. The experimental group was compared to the control group, and considering the results, the recommendations of the study were formulated. (Published abstract)
