مستوى المهارات الإحصائية لدى طلبة الدراسات العليا بكلية التربية جامعة سيئون
This study aimed to investigate the level of statistical skills among graduate students (Master's and Doctorate) at the College of Education, Seiyun University. The researcher followed the descriptive-analytical approach and used a test tool to measure three skills: descriptive, analytical, and interpretive and decision-making. After ensuring the validity and reliability of the tool, the study was applied to a sample of 20 students, consisting of 10 Ph.D. and 10 master's students. The study found the following results: 1) There is a deficiency in the level of statistical skills among the study sample. 2) No statistically significant differences were found in the students' levels due to the educational level or age variable. However, significant differences were found between the means of the study sample at the level of (α < 0.05) due to the interaction between the variables, favoring the age group (40 and above). 3) No statistically significant differences were found in the means of the study sample due to the variable of undergraduate major and gender. The study recommendations: the most important of which are: incorporating statistics courses into graduate programs, conducting lectures to introduce graduate students and professors to statistical concepts and their importance in daily life, and improving their attitudes towards it. The study suggests: conducting a similar study on other colleges, and also conducting a study for the same purpose on larger samples that include Yemeni public and private universities.
