The research aimed to find out the effectiveness of an electronic program based on self-learning strategies in developing creative writing skills among a sample of first-grade of the secondary school students in Bani Al-Harith district in Sana'a, based on the semiexperimental approach. The research sample consisted of (60) students, distributed equally into two groups. An experimental group studied creative writing using an electronic program based on self-learning strategies, and a controlling group studied creative writing using the traditional way. After applying the research tools, and ensuring the validity and reliability of the tools, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and controlling groups in the post-application of the creative writing skills test in favor of the experimental group. The result of the effectiveness of the electronic program designed according to self-learning strategies. (Published abstract)
