This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of using the Scamper program in developing critical thinking in the subject of Islamic education among students of the third cycle. The study relied on the semi-experimental approach based on the two tools of the Islamic Education achievement test and the critical thinking scale. The study was applied to a sample of third-cycle female students at Bayah School for Basic and Secondary Education, a sample of 160 individuals, and the study reached a set of results, the most important of which: 1) There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the control research group and the experimental group of students in the third cycle in the post application of the Islamic Education achievement test in favor of the experimental group. 2) There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the control group students and the experimental group of the third cycle students in the post application of the critical thinking scale in favor of the experimental group. 3) There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the third cycle students in the pre and post measurements of the critical thinking scale in favor of the post application. 4) There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the study group in the pre and post applications of the achievement test of Islamic Education subject in favor of the post application. Among the recommendations of the study: the importance of modern teaching strategies, especially the Scamper strategy, should be clarified through the establishment of training courses and extra-curricular activities, and interest in developing critical thinking skills among students of different academic levels through modern teaching strategies.
