This study aimed to explore the role of modern Islamic studies curricula in enhancing religious educational values among elementary school students, from the perspective of teachers in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The research problem was identified through the following main question: What is the role of modern Islamic studies curricula in promoting religious educational values among elementary school students, as perceived by Islamic education teachers in Makkah? Subsequently, the following sub-questions were derived: What is the role of modern Islamic studies curricula in enhancing values related to the faith aspect among elementary school students? What is the role of modern Islamic studies curricula in promoting values related to the behavioral aspect among elementary school students? To address the research problem and objectives, the researcher employed a descriptive survey methodology and utilized a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection from a sample of 31 Islamic education teachers in elementary schools in Makkah. The study employed the following statistical methods to answer its research questions: Frequencies and percentages to describe the sample characteristics and responses to each item. Mean and standard deviation to calculate the value assigned by the study participants to each item or set of items (axis). Pearson correlation coefficient to assess internal consistency Cronbach's alpha coefficient for reliability. The study's most significant findings were as follows: The degree of enhancement of religious educational values, represented by the faith aspect, as perceived by the study sample, was high, with a percentage of 2.40. The degree of enhancement of religious educational values, represented by the behavioural aspect, as perceived by the study sample, was high, with a percentage of 2.34. (Published abstract)
