تقويم محتوى مقررات الدراسات الإسلامية للمرحلة الثانوية "نظام المسارات" في ضوء قيم الأمن الفكري
The study aims to evaluate the content curriculum of Islamic Studies in secondary School, track system, in Saudi Arabia, based on intellectual security values. The study employs the descriptive approach to analyze the intended course content. The researcher set up a list of intellectual security values, comprising 60 values, the distribution of which ranges over five domains: mental intellectuality, social intellectuality, national intellectuality, cultural intellectuality and technological intellectuality. Based on these types of values, the course content of Islamic Studies was then analyzed. The courses Interpretation 1, Hadith 1, Allah’s Monotheism 1, Readings 1, Interpretation 2, Hadith 2, Allah’s Monotheism 2, Readings 2, and Holy Qur’an Sciences. The study concludes with a number of findings including it is found that in Islamic Studies courses the distribution is varied between intellectual security values of the abovementioned domains, whereby social intellectual security values scored the highest percentage across the courses, i.e. 68.52%. However, technological intellectual security values scored the lowest percentage, i.e. 12.04%. It is also found that there is clear deficiency in incorporating the dimensions of intellectual security values in the course content of Islamic Studies in Saudi Secondary School. Accordingly, the study provides several salient recommendations including utilizing the list of intellectual security values proposed in the study to educationally design the content of the Islamic Studies course content in the secondary School (track system), carefully and seriously considering equal distribution of intellectual security values when constructing the Islamic Studies course content. The study also proposed a conceptual framework as a tool for incorporating the intellectual security values in the course content of Islamic Studies in Saudi Secondary School (track system).
