واقع تطبيق برنامج يسير لتقويم الطلبة ذوي الذكاء الحدي في الصفوف الأولية بمدارس جدة : دراسة حالة
This study aimed to explore the reality of implementing the "Yaseer" program for assessing students with borderline intelligence in the primary grades in schools in Jeddah. The study analyzed the steps and mechanisms followed in transferring students from general education systems to the program. It also aimed to identify the strategies used to apply the program to primary grade students with borderline intelligence, the nature of the services provided to them, and the challenges faced by teachers during the program's implementation. The researcher used a qualitative research methodology because it provides comprehensive interpretation and understanding of the studied phenomenon, along with a case study approach. The study sample consisted of all learning difficulties teachers in the schools where the "Yaseer" program is implemented in the first three grades of primary education in schools in Jeddah. The researcher conducted interviews with the sample members using a self-prepared interview form and made observations during the review of records and files of students with borderline intelligence. The study concluded with the following results: 1) There is a 100% agreement that the Special Education Department is responsible for transferring students from the general education system to the "Yaseer" program. 2) The main services provided by the program are individualized education in the resource room and special assessment of the student according to the "Yaseer" program mechanism. 3) The program includes individual plans with strategies that can be generally used to improve the level of students with borderline intelligence. 4) The assessment procedures in the "Yaseer" program are good and suitable for these students' abilities, conducted with the assistance of the special education teacher. 5) The lack of an academic curriculum that includes minimum skills is a significant obstacle to the program's effectiveness. The study concluded with several recommendations and suggestions to activate and develop the program. (Published abstract)
