برنامج إثرائي في العلوم لتنمية عادات العقل لدى التلاميذ الفائقين بالمرحلة الابتدائية
This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of an enrichment program in science for developing the habits of mind among outstanding/ Superior primary stage pupils. To achieve the aim of the research, the researcher prepared an enrichment program based on Renzulli Enrichment Model through teaching the unit of (the Movement and Strengths) prescribed on the second term for sixth-grade primary school pupils. The researcher also prepared a pre-post Habits of Mind Scale/ Test/ measurement (perseverance- collecting data using senses- check accuracy- Control of rush questioning and posing problems- applying previous knowledge in new situations). A pre- The Habits of Mind Scale was applied on a sample of outstanding primary school pupils (n=33). Then they were taught the unit of (the Movement and Strengths) through the enrichment program. A post habits of mind scale was applied on the same sample after the experiment. The results of the research indicated that there was a statistically significance difference at the (α ≥ 0.05) level between the mean scores of the students' scores of the study sample in the pre-post Habits of Mind Scale in favour of the post-test. Therefore, the researcher recommended the necessity of using the enrichment programs for developing some of habits of mind among primary stage pupils and at the different educational stages and the necessity of training the teachers of science on applying these programs.
