The study aimed to identify psychological capital, locus of control and their relationship with academic procrastination among a sample of students at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, and to identify the differences in their average scores according to the variables of gender, scientific specialization, and marital status. In addition to identifying the possibility of predicting academic procrastination through psychological capital and locus of control, the study sample consisted of (413) male and female students, who were selected through the stratified random sample. The study used the psychological capital scale and the locus of control scale, which were prepared by the two researchers, while the academic procrastination scale was prepared by Ghanem, Saada, and Ashry (2018). The results of the study showed that: 1) there is a negative statistically significant correlation between the total score and the sub-dimensions of psychological capital and the total score and the sub-dimensions of Academic Procrastination, 2) there is a negative statistically significant correlation between Internal Locus of Control and the total score and the sub dimensions of academic procrastination except dimension fear of failure and dimension negative feelings. 3) While there is a positive statistically significant correlation between external locus of control and the total score and the sub dimensions of academic procrastination. 4) There are no statistically significant differences in psychological capital due to gender, while there are statistically significant differences in psychological capital due to scientific specialization In favor of students of humanities and arts majors and marital status in favor of married couples, 5) and there are no statistically significant differences in the total score and the sub-dimensions of locus of control due to gender, scientific specialization and marital status, 6) there are also no statistically significant differences in academic procrastination due to gender, while there are statistically significant differences in procrastination academic specialization due to scientific specialization in favor of students of scientific majors and marital status in favor of unmarried people. 7) There is a statistically significant effect of psychological capital in predicting academic procrastination. 8) The statistically significant effect of the dimensions of the locus of control is also found in the prediction of academic procrastination. The study recommends the development of the psychological capital and internal control points of the university's students to develop their experiences on how to reduce academic procrastination and associated risks.
