The study aims to investigate the relationship between mental alertness and both positive resilience and psychological stability identify the level of psychological mental alertness and both positive resilience and psychological stability among the sample members and to identify the differences between the study variables depending on some demographic variables (gender and academic specialization) among the sample members and to identify the contribution of mental alertness in predicting positive resilience and psychological stability among the sample members. And the data were collected from a sample of (250) graduate students (Master and Ph.D.) at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, their ages ranged between (21- 40 and over). The mental alertness scale prepared by Ahlam Mahdi (2013), the positive resilience scale prepared by Hanan Khouj (2017), and the psychological stability scale by Sana Al- Khazraji (2006) was applied. The main results were: 1) a correlation between mental alertness and positive resilience, as well as there is a correlation between mental alertness and psychological stability. 2) There are no statistically significant differences between the genders in mental alertness, positive resilience, and psychological stability, 3) and there are statistically significant differences in mental alertness due to the effect of academic specialization, 4) and there are no statistically significant differences due to the effect of academic specialization in both positive resilience and psychological stability. The study also found that that mental alertness contributes to predicting positive resilience and psychological stability. The study recommends conducting counseling programs for graduate students that help in developing mental alertness. (Published abstract)
