The effectiveness of designing an e-learning environment based on digital video (interactive/ordinary) in developing immediate and delayed achievement among middle school students. This research aimed to reveal the effectiveness of designing an e-learning environment based on digital video (interactive/ordinary) in developing immediate and delayed achievement among middle school students. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach with the control group and the experimental group and design an educational software that contains two types of digital video, (interactive/ ordinary) with (5) video lessons for each type. All tests have been linked to it in Moodle Platform. In addition to updating the private teacher account software in the e-learning environment (Madrasati Platform). The research sample consisted of (60) students of the second intermediate grade in the public intermediate schools in Jeddah in the third semester of the academic year (1443-1444 AH); where the students were divided into the two groups equally. The control group, consisting of (30) students, was studied using the normal video method, and the experimental group, consisting of (30) students, was studied using the interactive video method. Data using arithmetic means, standard deviations, t-test for two independent samples to identify the differences between the mean scores of the control and experimental group in the pre, immediate and delayed application of the achievement test and the ETA square equation to calculate the effect size. The research found that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the average degrees of immediate and delayed achievement for middle school students in the computer course due to the teaching method used (interactive video/ normal video) in favor of students who studied using the interactive video method. The researcher recommended the use of the interactive video teaching method because of its importance and effectiveness in increasing students' academic achievement. (Published abstract)
