مدى جودة الخدمات المساندة المقدمة للطلبة ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية في مدارس التعليم العام من وجهة نظر معلميهم
The study aimed to identify the quality and types of support services provided to students with intellectual disabilities in general education schools from the perspective of their teachers. The study adopted descriptive approach, which describe existing events, phenomena and practices that are available. The study population consists of all teachers of students with intellectual disabilities in general education schools in Jeddah (319 teachers). The sample consisted of (100) teachers of students with intellectual disabilities in general education schools who responded to the electronic questionnaire. The research tools consisted of a questionnaire to collect data, a variety of statistical methods were used the statistical packages for the humanities and social sciences. The study shows: occupational therapy service, guidance and counseling services are among the most important support services needed for students with intellectual disabilities. Also, possibility of predicting the language skills of the intellectual disabled child through the support services such as psychological, behavioral and social services provided to students with intellectual disabilities help in revealing the cognitive problems that affect students’ benefit from the educational programs provided to them, the higher qualifications in the field of special education and years of experience have a greater understanding of support services for students with intellectual disabilities in general education.
