أثر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي على التحصيل الدراسي لدى عينة من تلاميذ المرحلة الثانوي
This article studied the impact of social networking sites on academic achievement and social relations among secondary school students. A descriptive analytical methodology was used to collect data from a sample of students using statistically analyzed questionnaires. The study found that there is a noticeable impact of using social networking sites on students, as the results showed a negative impact on academic achievement by increasing distraction and decreasing academic level, and a mixed impact on social relations, as these sites helped strengthen some social relations, but negatively affected direct personal interaction. The study recommends increasing awareness among students about the importance of time management and controlling the use of social networking sites to achieve a balance between social life and academic achievement. It also recommends a greater role for parents and teachers in monitoring students' use of these sites and guiding them towards optimal use. (Published abstract)
