The research objective is to Identify the appropriate critical listening skills for Arabic language learners speaking other languages at the Islamic University, and to define the criteria of employing the digital story in its development. Also to prepare a program based on employing the digital story in developing critical listening skills, and learn about the impact of employing digital stories in developing critical listening skills among learners. The researcher relied on the descriptive approach to follow previous studies and researches in the field of critical listening to prepare research tools. The quasi-experimental approach was used to identify the impact of employing digital stories on developing critical listening skills among the research sample. The researcher used a set of tools: A list of critical listening skills. suitable for Arabic language learners speaking other languages. A list of criteria for using the digital story in developing critical listening skills. A program based on the use of the digital story in developing critical listening skills. A student guide of using E-learning management system (Blackboard). And the test of critical listening skills and language fluency. The research sample consisted of (41) fourth level students from the Institute of Teaching Arabic Language at the Islamic University in Madinah. The Main Research Findings: A list of critical listening skills, consisting of (10) sub skills. A list of criteria for employing digital stories in developing critical listening skills, consisting of (4) basic criteria, including (26) sub-indicators, in (4) areas for employing the appropriate digital stories for Arabic language learners who speak other languages. There were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the members of the research sample in the pre and post measurements, to test critical listening skills, in favor of post measurement.
