The study aimed to identify the digital competencies as an approach for developing the technological performance of teachers in schools in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of some contemporary models, study used a descriptive method, also used document analysis to collect data and information. The results of the study showed the interest of many educational, training and research institutions in developing digital competencies for teachers. That is the European Union, the International Society for Technology in Education, UNESCO, and UNICEF. And that these competencies focused on the content of the curriculums, teaching methods, evaluation styles, professional development, Effective communication with all participants in the educational process, and managing the digital teaching and learning environment. The study recommended that the ministry of education in the Sultanate of Oman build digital competencies for teachers and train them on them. To be a guide for them in all their digital practices, in the processes of supervision and evaluation of their job performance, and in their professional development programs. (Published abstract)
