The aim of the research is to clarify the conceptual framework of the problem of drug addiction and its negative effects in Egypt. Identifying the philosophical framework of youth centers in Egypt and their educational dimensions, and revealing the shortcomings in the educational role of youth centers in confronting the problem of drug addiction in Sohag Governorate .And reaching implementable recommendations that contribute to strengthening the educational role of youth centers in confronting the problem of drug addiction in Sohag Governorate, the study used the descriptive approach, and the study tool was the questionnaire, which was applied to a study sample of the pioneers of youth centers in Sohag Governorate, whose size was (178). The study was applied to a sample of (144) employees of youth centers in Sohag Governorate. The study concluded: The reality of the educational role of youth centers in confronting the problem of drug addiction in Sohag Governorate socially is available, and reached (2.66) of the beneficiaries. And (2.72) employees, and the reality of the educational role, mentally and culturally, is available, and has reached (2.69) of the beneficiaries, and (2.76) employees. The economic reality of the educational role is present, reaching (2.69) beneficiaries and (2.90) employees. The reality of the educational role, physically and athletically, is available and has reached (2.76) of the beneficiaries, and (2.87) of the employees. The reality of the educational role politically is available and has reached (2.72) beneficiaries, and (2.86) employees. The reality of the educational health role is available and has reached (2.63) beneficiaries, and (2.81) employees. The reality of the religious educational role is available and has reached (2.59) beneficiaries, and (2.90) employees. The reality of the obstacles to the educational role of youth centers in confronting the problem of drug addiction in Sohag Governorate reached (2.59) of the beneficiaries, and (2.88) employees. The research recommended the need to improve and strengthen the educational role of youth centers in confronting the problem of drug addiction in Sohag Governorate. (Published abstract)
