The aim of the research is to identify the role of the school principal in managing school meetings in basic education schools in the city of Bani Walid, as well as to reveal the extent to which the principals of basic education schools in the city of Bani Walid practice the skill of managing school meetings (before the meeting -during the meeting after the meeting), and to learn about the most important problems and difficulties that Basic school principals face it during their management of school meetings (before the meeting -during the meeting -after the meeting), and to achieve the research objectives, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and a questionnaire was constructed consisting of (15) statements (distributed among three areas of the school principal’s tasks in his management of the school meetings skill It was applied to a sample of basic education school principals, numbering (30) basic education principals and principals, for the academic year 2024-2025. The results of the research resulted in several recommendations proposed for me to master the skill of meetings accurately and on time, including: The necessity of providing training programs for basic school principals about... Meeting management skills. These programs include planning, directing, and participation skills, the ability to make decisions, and solve problems. Short in-service training courses must also be held in cooperation with colleges of education for school principals to provide them theoretically and practically with what is new in the field of managing school meetings, and also to give basic education school principals more Powers that help activate the role of school meetings in making and taking decisions for the benefit of the school. The most important proposals recommended by the research: Conducting a study on the effectiveness of students’ participation in making and decision-making in school-level meetings from the point of view of principals, teachers, and students in the middle and high school levels.
