The study aimed to identify the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, and to identify the impact of emotional intelligence and its dimensions (self-awareness - emotional management - self-motivation - empathy - interaction with others) on job satisfaction at King Abdulaziz University. The study also focused on identifying the relationship of emotional intelligence with demographic variables (gender - (formal / informal) - educational level). The study relied on the descriptive-relational approach, and it was conducted on a sample of (179) male and female employees of King Abdulaziz University, who were selected using the purposive (intentional) sample method. The tools of the study were the emotional intelligence scale (Amrani, 2022) and the job satisfaction scale (Damanhouri et al., 2017). The study adopted statistical methods that fit its data, such as descriptive methods: frequencies, percentages, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation. And some inferential methods, such as the correlation coefficient (PEARSON), the (T) test for the two independent samples, and the analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the level of both emotional intelligence and job satisfaction among King Abdulaziz University employees was moderate. It also showed the existence of a strong positive correlation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction among employees at King Abdulaziz University, which means that by increasing the emotional intelligence levels, the job satisfaction levels increase among King Abdulaziz University employees, And the opposite is true. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the university administration to organize programs and training courses for the purpose of raising the emotional intelligence levels among male and female employees because of its strong impact on the job satisfaction levels among employees, which in turn plays a major role in raising levels of performance and increasing organizational loyalty.
