The study aimed to investigate the impact of modern leadership methods on institutional performance in educational institutions, a field study on employees of Jazan University, and to reveal the level of institutional performance there, and the extent of its relationship to some personal variables (gender, experience, age). This is done by following the descriptive analytical approach. The research was applied to a sample of 80 male and female employees and relied on their responses on two scales: the Hersey and Blanchard leadership styles scale, and the institutional performance scale. After statistically processing responses using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program, the researcher concluded that the participating leadership style is the dominant and most practiced style in the administration of Jazan University, followed by the reporting style In last place is the marketing style. The research results also concluded that the level of institutional performance is an average level, and that there are no statistically significant differences in their level of performance attributable to the variable of gender and professional experience, and the presence of statistically significant differences in the level of performance attributable to the age variable in favor of the group. Employees are more than (50) years old. Finally, this study found that there is a correlation between each of the leadership styles (participatory style, reporting style, delegated style, marketer style), and the level of institutional performance from the employees’ point of view.
