The study aimed to determine the extent to which the concept of anticipating the future appears in institutional and school excellence awards in the Arab world. To achieve this, the study used the descriptive analytical method, and a content analysis card was prepared. The study sample represented (8) awards and programs that distinguished institutional and school performance, and a group of Statistical methods for building the tool and arriving at study results; The study found the following: The concept of anticipating the future was explicitly and implicitly present in the awards elements a number of (100) times, and that the availability of the concept of anticipating the future in the two elements of “Concepts, Principles, and Standards” came to a moderate degree, while the results indicated the availability of the concept in the elements of “Vision, Mission, Values, and Goals.” to a low degree; The study also found that the first ranking on government institutional excellence awards and programs in including the concept of anticipating the future was obtained by the King Abdulaziz Award for Quality with a moderate degree of availability. About school excellence awards, the first ranking was for the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Award for Distinguished Educational Performance, “Distinguished School Category” with a degree of availability. The study then presented several recommendations and proposals that contribute to supporting the demonstration and dissemination of the concept of anticipating the future through institutional excellence awards.
