The research aimed to identify the effect of a proposed model for teaching science based on the combination of the theory of successful intelligence and thinking maps in developing lateral thinking skills among female students in the middle school stage. The two researchers used the descriptive approach to build a proposed model for teaching science based on the combination of the theory of successful intelligence and thinking maps، preparing a test of lateral thinking skills for middle school female students. The experimental method، quasi-experimental design was used by applying (pre-post) to two groups (experimental، control)، to identify the effect of a proposed model for teaching science based on the combination of the theory of successful intelligence and thinking maps in developing lateral thinking skills among female students in the middle school stage. A purposive sample of female first-year intermediate students from Tihan Complex in Abha was selected. Two classrooms were chosen from the school, one of them to represent the experimental group and the number of female students in it (31), and another classroom to represent the control group and the number of female students in it (30). The two groups were administered a lateral thinking skills test (pre-post). And the results concluded that: 1) There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of female students in the experimental and control groups in the post-application of the lateral thinking skills test, in favor of the experimental group. 2) There is a significant impact of the proposed model for teaching science based on the combination of the theory of successful intelligence and thinking maps in developing lateral thinking skills among first-year intermediate school female students.
