The study aimed to identify the reality of using action research by English language teachers on the school field, the difficulties facing action research and how to overcome them. The study used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was used as a tool. The study population and sample consisted of (50) English language teachers in the area Tabuk thestudy found that the English language teachers using action research on the school field was limited. There were some difficulties faced teachers during doing action research, the most important of it the difficulty of the lack of supportive atmosphere, the lack of money support, the high loads on the teachers in the school, the reluctance of students and teachers to cooperate with the teachers during action research. The study also found a number of solutions to these difficulties,the most important of it interest of educational English supervisors in actin research and sharing teachers in it, producing courses in the field of action research, providing a range of financial and incorporeal incentives, provide atmosphere support, provide adequate financial support, establish department in education administration to facilitate procedures for doing action research.
