The study aimed to identify the basic pillars promote the Saudi identity that should be included in the English language textbook for the first middle school grade, and to identify the extent to which it is included in the syllabus. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive method was followed in a content analysis way, as the study sample included the textbooks of the first and second semesters scheduled for the first middle school grade in the academic year (1440-1441 AH / 2019-2020AD). The study tool was represented in the content analysis card. The most important findings of the study were as follows: Pillars of Saudi identity have been included in the English language syllabus of the first middle school grade with a very low degree. The "national values" pillar ranked first with an inclusion rate (32.6%), followed by an "anchoring health and health habits for the citizen" pillar in the second place with an inclusion rate (25.3%), and both in a low degree. The pillars (mentioning the homeland of Saudi Arabia, mentioning some aspects of the popular heritage, the features of tourism in the Kingdom, the Saudi environment) were included with a very low degree in the English syllabus, as the percentage of their inclusion ranged between (6.2-13.5%).Failure to include the pillars in the syllabus (leaders and rulers of the Kingdom, mentioning some national figures, the Hajj and Umrah season, enhancing the role of security men, natural and economic resources in the Kingdom).
