The research aimed at measuring the effectiveness of a proposed training program for teachers of commercial secondary education to develop the skills of follow - up field training for their students in “commercial” applied technology schools. The research sample consisted of (10) teachers of commercial secondary education; to achieve the research objectives. The researcher prepared research materials and tools represented in a list of field training follow – up skills. in the light of which the proposed training program was prepared. an achievement test to measure the cognitive aspects of field training skills. and an observation checklist to measure the performance level of follow - up field training skills. The research tools were applied before and after on the sample of the research. And the results indicated that there is a statistically significant difference at (0.01) between the mean ranks of the experimental group teachers in the pre and post application for each of the achievement test and the observation checklist in favor of the post application. Which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed training program in developing both the cognitive and performance aspects of follow – up field training skills for teachers of commercial secondary education. There is also a statistically significant positive correlation between the scores of the experimental group teachers in the post application of both the achievement test and the observation checklist. In the end the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposed research in the light of the research results. (Published abstract)
