This study aimed to investigate the role of Hello Talk application in developing students’ oral skills in the basic stage from English language female teachers’ perspective in Irbid. To achieve the aim of this study, a quantitative research design was adopted. A questionnaire was provided as an instrument of the study to 60 teachers in 23 local schools in Irbid Governorate during the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024. It consisted of three major skills: listening, speaking, and pronunciation. The questionnaire included 45 items which were distributed as follows: listening 15 items, speaking 15 items, and pronunciation 15 items. The results of the study revealed that the teachers’ perspective on the role of the Hello Talk application in developing students’ oral skills was positive attitudes. According to these results, the study was concluded with a set of recommendations for the Ministry of Education and for researchers in the teaching field to use the Hello Talk application as an active learning strategy in teaching English as a foreign language.
