the effect of using wordwall interactive games on 10th grade efl students' oral skills and their attitudes toward them
The study aimed to investigate the effect of using Wordwall interactive games on 10th grade EFL students’ oral skills and their attitudes toward them. The participants of the study consisted of 42 tenth-grade students studying at Al_Hamra Secondary School for Girls in Al-Mafraq. The students were already divided into two groups equally (control and experimental). The first was assigned as the experimental group that was subjected to using Wordwall interactive games, and the other was the control group which was taught using regular instruction. Each group included 21 students. The quasi-experimental design including pre/post-test was used in the study, and the questionnaire was applied to the experimental group. Statistical treatment was carried out. The findings revealed that: 1) There were statistically significant at P = 0.05 between the means of both groups in listening and speaking in the post-test in favor of the experimental group. 2) Most students’ responses were “strongly agree” and “agree”. This indicated that using Wordwall interactive games had a positive impact on students’ attitudes. Accordingly, the researcher recommended integrating Wordwall interactive games in teaching oral skills to aid in learning language because of its effect on developing the oral skills of students.
