درجة تضمين كتاب الأحياء للصف التاسع الأساسي للقضايا العلمية الاجتماعية في الأردن
This study aimed to identify the degree to which the biology textbook for the ninth grade in Jordan includes social scientific issues (SSI) to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was used, by applying the content analysis method. The study population and its sample were from the biology textbook for the ninth grade, its first and second parts, for the academic year 2024-2023, and a list of social scientific issues that should be included in the biology book was prepared. The list was developed into a content analysis card and consisted of (66) sub-issues distributed among eleven main issues, namely (stem cells, water sources, food and nutrition, human health and disease). (organ transplantation, biodiversity, artificial human reproduction, energy, global warming, environmental pollution, cloning). The results of the study showed that the social scientific issues in the ninth grade came in the following order: ranked first: human health and disease, and artificial human reproduction came in last place. In light of the results, the study recommended the importance of focusing the book’s content on social scientific issues for the ninth grade. (Author’s abstract)
