The study aimed to determine the degree to which Arabic language teachers for the basic stage in Jordan employ the writing processes approach in teaching written expression. The researcher used the descriptive survey method. The degree to which Arabic language teachers employed the approach to the writing process was average. The study sample consisted of (120) male and female teachers who teach the Arabic language, with (52) male and (68) female teachers. The study tool consisted of (5) areas, according to the sequence of writing processes: planning, which included (8) paragraphs, writing, which included (10) paragraphs, review, which included (6) paragraphs, editing, which included (5) paragraphs, and publishing, which included (5) Paragraphs. Thus, the total number of items in the questionnaire reached (34), and the researcher verified their validity and reliability.In its results, the study found that there were no statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) due to the effect of gender, academic qualification in all fields, and the total degree. There were statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) due to the effect of experience in all fields and the total degree, and the differences were in favor of 10 years or more. In light of the results, the researcher recommends training Arabic language teachers on how to use writing processes in their students’ expressions, and including in Arabic language teachers’ manuals an introduction to writing processes, training students on how to use them, and guiding researchers.(Author's abstract)
