مفاهيم الصحة والسلامة العامة المتضمنة في كتاب الأحياء المطور للصف العاشر الأساسي في الأردن
The study aimed to identify the concepts of public health and safety included in the biology textbook developed for the tenth grade in Jordan. To achieve the objectives of the study، the descriptive analytical approach was used. By applying the content analysis method، the study population and sample were from the biology textbook for the tenth grade، both its first and second parts، for the academic year 2023-2024. A list of public health and safety concepts that should be included in the biology textbook was prepared. The list was developed into a content analysis card، and a of (49) concepts distributed over six main concepts، which are (personal and physical health، mental and emotional health، environmental health، nutritional health، factors affecting health، puplic safety and accident prevention) ، and after verifying the validity and stability of the study tool، the content was analysed. For thy biology textbook for the tenth grade، then the frequencies and percentages were calculated، and the results showed that the percentages of public health and safety concepts came in the following order. First place was personal and physical health، environmental health، then mental and emotional health، then conceptsof public safety، accident prevention، and nutritional health، then factors affecting health، and in ln light of the results، the study recommended the importance of focusing the content of biology textbooks on the concepts of public health and safety.
