The study aimed to identify the degree to which Marka District school principals practice management by values and its relationship to teachers’ Self-esteem. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive correlational survey method was used. The study population consisted of all primary and secondary school teachers in Marka District Education. The study sample consisted of (400) male and female teachers who were selected by a simple random method. The study tool consisted of a questionnaire, which included two parts: the first, related to personal information, and the second included two parts: the first: management by values among school principals, consisting of (40) items distributed over four areas, and the second: self-esteem among teachers, consisting of (15) items. The validity and reliability of the study tool were confirmed. The study showed the following results: 1) The degree of practicing management by values among school principals in Marka Education District from the points of view of teachers was high, and the dimensions came in the following order: organizational loyalty values, societal responsibility values, values of support, appreciation, and mastery, and organizational justice and transparency ranked fourth. 2) There were no statistically significant differences attributable to the effect of gender and academic qualification in all fields and the total degree, and the presence of statistically significant differences attributable to the effect of years of experience in all dimensions and the total degree, and the differences were in favor of less than 5 years. 3) The level of self-esteem among teachers in Marka District education, from their point of view, was high. Fourthly, there are no statistically significant differences because of sex, educational qualification, and years of experience in the responses of the study sample members regarding the level of self-esteem among teachers. 4) The results showed that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between the Marka district school principals’ practice of management by values and teachers’ self-esteem. Based on the results of the study, the researcher recommends the following: 1) Continuing to instill the concepts of management by values. 2) Working to increase the adoption of this modern leadership style in schools. 3) Working to create a local cooperative educational network that follows up the extent of applying management by values on the ground. 4) Increasing the number of guidance programs within educational institutions to increase awareness in appreciation of Self-esteem among teachers. 5) Conducting further studies that address the relationship between management by values and other variables.
