تحليل محتوى كتاب الكيمياء للصف العاشر في ضوء مصفوفة المدى والتتابع ومؤشراتها في الأردن

This study aimed to detect the degree of inclusion of the Chemistry textbook content for the 10th grade in Jordan for the two areas: The nature of science and technology, science, technology and human activity in the light of scope and sequence matrix and its indicators in Jordan. To achieve the goal of the study, an analysis tool was developed for two domains: Science, technology and human activity, the nature of science, technology and human activity. The authenticity and consistency of the tool was verified, and the researcher used repetitions and percentages in statistical processing. It was agreed that the paragraph should be considered as an analytical unit. The results showed: 1) an imbalance in the inclusion of two domains of scope and sequence matrix and its indicators in Jordan, with the field axes reporting "scientific investigation" (39. 38%), "scientific research methodology" (23. 13%), "The interaction of science, mathematics and engineering" (8. 54%), "The relationship between science, engineering and technology" (22. 29%). As for axes of science, technology and human activity: "Health Technology"(1. 88%), "Communication Technology"(2.29%), "Energy Resources"(1. 25%), "Interdepends and coexistence globally"(0.42%), "Influences on social change"(0. 38%). 2) There was a significant difference between the percentage of inclusion of the two main domains: It was the highest percentage for the nature of science and technology where reached (93.33), while science, technology and human activity was very low (6.66%). In the light of these findings, the researcher recommended that: 1) the axes of scope and sequences matrix and its indicators should be included in a balanced way in content of chemistry textbooks, 2) carry out studies dealing with all areas of scope and matrix across a specific Academic stage.
