The research aimed to employ the cognitive apprenticeship strategy and find out its effectiveness in developing the student/ teacher skills of playing Mandolin among third year - Faculty of Specific Education - Zagazig University. The researcher followed the semiexperimental approach based on two groups, and the researcher relied when conducting the research on a note card for the performance of students in playing skills to measure the level of students, and the sample was represented in a group of first-year students in the Department of Music Education - Faculty of Specific Education - Zagazig University in the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023, and their number is 16 students. The research resulted that the proposed program based on the cognitive apprenticeship strategy success in development of playing skills among the sample students in the subject of Mandolin. And the need to hold training courses, seminars and workshops for music education students to introduce the strategy of cognitive apprenticeship, and its importance in improving academic achievement and scientific skills.
