The study aimed to reveal the impact of different design of electronic content on the development of digital learning skills and cognitive perception among female students at Umm Al Qura University. To achieve the study objectives, the analytical descriptive approach and experimental approach with a quasi experimental design based on the design of the two experimental groups was used. The study sample consisted of (40) female students from the kindergarten department at Umm Al Qura University, with (20) female students per group. The study tools consisted of a cognitive achievement test, an observation card, a product evaluation card and a cognitive perception measure. The most notable findings of the study include statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the average grades of the first pilot group students (studied with electronic mind maps) and the second pilot group students (studied with static infographic) in the post-application of the digital learning achievement test, the observation card, the product evaluation card and the cognitive perception measure. The differences were in favor of the first pilot group students (studied with electronic mind maps) and, in the light of its findings, the study recommended that electronic mind maps should be used in digital content regulation; It has an effective impact on the development of different aspects of knowledge and skills. It also recommended attention to the development of knowledge awareness among students at all educational levels. (Published abstract)
