The study aimed to identify the degree to which social studies books were included in basic stage classes to exclude social responsibility. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical method was used. The study sample consisted of social studies books for the sixth and seventh grades. The researcher designed the study tool, which consisted of a content analysis card, which included four areas related to the dimensions of social responsibility, and the validity and reliability of the tool was confirmed. The results of this study showed that the total number of repetitions of the dimensions of social responsibility for basic stage grades amounted to (134) repetitions, with the sixth grade getting a total of (58) repetitions and the seventh grade getting (76) repetitions. Repeatedly, it came as follows: The “responsibility towards the homeland” axis received a total of (76) occurrences, with a percentage of (57%), and the “Responsibility towards the Self” axis received a total of (24) occurrences, with a percentage of (18%), and the “Responsibility towards the Family” axis received a total of (18%) occurrences. The frequencies were (20) occurrences, at a rate of (15%), and the axis of “responsibility towards the school”, which received the lowest total number of occurrences (14) occurrences, at a rate of (10%). In light of these results, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations and proposals, including: 1) the necessity of developing social studies books. The dimensions of social responsibility, providing suggestions and guidance to formulate content according to communication skills, 2) paying attention to including all aspects of social responsibility in a sequential and sequential manner in social studies books.
