This study aimed at revealing the effect of the possession of functional expression skills of tenth grade students in Mafraq on the development of creative expression skills. This study relied on the experimental method with its Quasi experimental design, The study population consisted of (60) male and female students. and they were Randomly divided into two groups: experimental group consisting of (30) male and female students who learned according to functional expression skills, and a control group consisting of (30) male and female students who learned according to the usual method. The two groups underwent a pre- and post-test on creative expression and make sure of Denotations of real and stability. The study concluded that there were statistically significant differences at (α=0.05) in scores of tenth grade students, attributable to the disparity in teaching method. The differences were in favor of the experimental group that learned according to functional expression skills. There were not statistically significant at (α=0.05) between the average scores of students on creative expression scale because of gender variable. Based on the findings, the study recommended: 1) Teaching according to the strategy of activities on functional expression when teaching creative expression, 2) That researchers conduct Further studies on the effect of providing students with functional expression skills on the development of Creative expression, Based on the of other variables such as intelligence, environment and others.
