The study aims to measure the effectiveness of using green education strategies in developing digital citizenship skills among first-year middle school students through teaching science. The study group consisted of (60) first-year middle school students at the Damietta developed joint developed experimental preparatory school, Damietta educational administration, and to achieve objective of the study: the researcher used the experimental method with a quasi-experimental design for the experimental and control groups. The experimental group studied the unit “diversity and adaptation in living organisms” from the science book using green education strategies, while the control group studied the same unit using the traditional method. The results of the study reached: there is a statistically significant difference at the level of 0.05 between the average scores of the students of the two study groups in the post-application of the digital citizenship skills test in favor of the students in the experimental group, and a high effect size for using green education strategies in developing digital citizenship skills in favor of the students in the experimental group.
